Bullets: Glenn Spencer wants to remind you OSU didn’t win

Jenni Carlson makes a The Rant reference, plenty of love for Tyreek Hill, and OSU is actually looking pretty solid in the injury department.

JW Walsh says OSU should have won against Florida State. (PFB)

This time of year, even the stuff we get right, we don’t really get right. This time last week, we were thinking the Pokes would overcome their great swaths of personnel losses in time to compete with the class of the Big 12 by November.

Today, they look a whole lot closer to that level in September than previously imagined, and all-purpose field-devourer Tyreek Hilllooks like some sort of celestial being. Are they gonna be doctors? We can’t tell, but right now the Pokes look like chiropractors, at least. (Grantland)

Saturday was actually good for OSU from an injury standpoint compared to the rest of the Big 12. Also, David Ash needs to retire. He can write a weekly PFB column if he wants but get that dude out of there. (NewsOK)

OSU is better off losing to FSU in game one than beating Savannah State by three thousand. (PFB)

Stunning here: For the first time since October 2005 — the midseason stretch of Mike Gundy’s first season as head coach — Oklahoma State has a three-game losing streak. (Tulsa World)

Running back Tyreek Hill drew the “oohs” and “aahs” with his speed, but Ogbah had just as big an impact for the Cowboys defensively. (ESPN)

OSU fans clearly love JerryWorld. They keep coming back strong. (NewsOK)

Here’s the nerd box score for OSU-FSU. (PFB)

I’m to the point that I’m just bummed about the entire QB situation. Nobody really has any answers and Gundy is even talking about subbing out the dude who just came within a TD of knocking off the Heisman winner in the season opener. (NewsOK)

I liked what Jimbo Fisher said about throwing the ball between the hashes. That’s something I think JW actually does pretty well. (Tomahawk Nation)

Gundy: “One thing I talked to them about on Sunday night was, ‘You were fighting for your life for four weeks, because nobody gave you a chance to compete against Florida State. And now they’re going to tell you you’re better than they thought you were. And we don’t know if that’s true or not. We really don’t, until the middle of October.’” (NewsOK)

Notes on Mike Gundy’s Monday presser here. (PFB)

Things did not go well for the Baylor line on Sunday night. (Deadspin)

Spencer: I got off track because I keep thinking, ‘Everybody’s talking to me like we won the game.’ We lost the game. I’m getting all these questions like I would after we won a football game. And we didn’t. We didn’t do what we needed on our side of the ball to win.” Also, Jenni Carlson references Gundy’s rant! (NewsOK)

This is tremendous: If college football coaches got their phones hacked. (CBS Sports)

Florida State has one of the nation’s fastest teams around, and yet they couldn’t catch Hill, whether it was on offense, on punt returns or kickoff returns. The Cowboys have one dynamic playmaker in their backfield, and on special teams. (ESPN)

Haha, this is so great.
