Can Leyton Hammonds be a third scorer?

Leyton Hammonds on his future: “I know I can make shots. I know I can be productive. I can show productivity for this team. I just try to keep being consistent.”

Ford: “He could really be a dangerous stretch-4, really dangerous, as we saw the other night. In the future, he’s going to be dangerous. We’ve talked about it, he could eventually be a really high scorer for us.” (NewsOK)

This is also interesting from Ford: ““He’s the strongest player on our team. Weightroom-wise, he’s the strongest guy on our team. We need him to use that and his height.” (Tulsa World)

I’ve flip-flopped on the Carroll-Hammonds-Newberry-Shine foursome so many times. They all do good things but none of them seem to stand out for an extended period.

Bodes well for the future.

Oklahoma State needs some good things to happen in the home stretch of this recruiting cycle.

Ronald Jones’ decommitment was a crippling blow as he looked like the ideal fit with the chance to become a dynamic quarterback-running back-receiver trio with Mason Rudolph and James Washington. (ESPN)

The Power Five program that spent the least on recruiting expenses in 2013-14 was Oklahoma State, reporting a mere $491,511.

This means the Cowboys spent less than South Florida ($495,496), Old Dominion ($507,018) and New Mexico ($509,501). (B/R)

Wait…what??
