Dolphins defensive coordinator was asked after practice yesterday if the defensive side of the ball was loaded? (Hint: They are.) After naming several of the blue chip stars on defense, he made an unprompted comment about the former Oklahoma State defensive tackle. “I really like Calvin Barnett, the kid we picked up post draft as a free agent,” O’Neil told ClevelandBrowns.com.
Barnett reportedly worked out for the dolphins yesterday, and it appears he left a lasting impression. He will fill the 90th roster spot for the Dolphins, and will play alongside arguably one of the best defensive lineman in the NFL in Ndamukong Suh.
Barnett was an all Big 12 selection at defensive tackle for the Cowboys in 2012 and 2013.
