Thayer Evans writes a bunch of words and calls it reporting and insinuates that Justin Blackmon is in trouble. (Fox Sports)

Also, here’s an OSU follow-up. (News 9)

Good story by Jenni on Austin Box’s relationship with the Chelf bros and Casey LaBrue, but didn’t Adam Kemp write the exact same story for the O’Colly four weeks ago? (NewsOK)

Good stuff from Bill Haisten on OSU’s prolific offense. (Tulsa World)

David Ubben with a very smart, very good post on the OSU defense. (ESPN)

Good point here by Matt Hinton: “This year, Alabama and Oklahoma State are identically qualified for the second ticket, and split the final vote for it roughly down the middle. When a strong contender that effectively earned 50 percent of the vote is rewarded with zero percent of the opportunity, the system has failed.” (Dr. Saturday)

Berry Tramel says Michael Harrison is the heir apparent to Blackmon, Weeden says it could be Torrence Carr. (NewsOK)

Herschel Sims thinks Brandon Weeden is a 1st round pick. Also, I love “exclusive interviews” on okstate.com, high unintentional comedy. (okstate.com)

Stanford’s players seem like they’d be pretty cool to talk to/hang with. (NewsOK)

Levy Adcock can dunk? Is that for real? (NewsOK)

Cowgirls move to 8-0 on the season. (okstate.com)

Berry Tramel writes about Myron Roderick and the chance he took on Eddie Sutton. (NewsOK)

Brandon got nine (well 11) holes in the other day. (Tulsa World)

Looking for something to spend that Christmas money on? h/t Brad Tate (Nike)

Pretty epic hotel quote at the end of this article from Holgy. (WV Gazette)

Ok folks, an update on the big party going down at the Scottsdale W on Sunday night. Joe Diggs, the assistant GM at the hotel, emailed me yesterday with the information below including a fine discount for all our readers. Also, pretty cool that Thurman Thomas is going to be hosting, hope you guys can make it out there!

Due to the demand of this event there is no more free entry. Cover will begin at 8pm at the W on Sunday but to lock your tickets in at a discounted rate I would recommend going to www.wscottsdaletickets.com. Here is a code for all Pistols Firing readers for 15% off the ticket price once the tickets hit $15: “OSULEG”

VIP tables and cabanas are also available and do sell out every year. Last year Charles Barkley, Steve Nash, Ronnie Brown, Donovan McNabb all had tables…it really is the way to go.

You can still email Joe Diggs, Assistant GM of Bars/Nightlife at W Scottsdale at jdiggs [at] triyar [dot] com with any questions and all VIP table/cabana inquiries.

Great stuff here from Stewart (nice up close look of his upper ear earring too). Also, I don’t need Markelle Martin teaching our receivers what to do! Have you seen that guy try to catch interceptions?? (kidding…kind of)

I don’t always include Thunder stuff or links here, but this was too sweet:

  • Chance

Levy went to the same high school I did. For our tiny school (100 per class), it’ll be nice to say we have an NFL player.

Stanford has a beautiful campus, but any time a campus has palm trees, it really helps.

  • @arin5000

    Thayer Evans is an idiot.

Nice to see Foxsports trying their hand at being Yahoosports. They just forgot to have their evidence before writing the article.

  • David Einstein

Loved the Josh Stewart interview, thanks for posting.

Also, I think it’s time for us as a fanbase to start ignoring a certain “member” of the media.

  • Marlena E.

I have noticed several articles over the last 3 or 4 years, in which DOK writers pen, are copies of previous stories found around the nation with a few words tweaked here and there. Such a pity that they can’t find their own stories to write. I believe when I was in college that professors required us to turn in papers to a website which checked for plagarism. Maybe the DOK needs to do the same but if they did, it would only leave the comics section to read in the paper.

    OSULEG?? WTF, mate?

Impressed with Sims interview (well, impressed with his answers – not the joker interviewing him).

I’m sure Stanford players are cool, but I don’t enjoy hanging out with people that, within a matter of 5 seconds, make me feel like I have the intelligence of a 3 year old.

  • Kyle Porter

I think LEG is short for “LEGENDS”?

Eff. Did you go to Stanford?
