Daily Bullets (July 13)
Football misc.
Here’s a good way to keep track of the awards watch list if only because it includes a great GIF of No. 38. (okstate)
Why every odd-numbered year is primed for OSU to win the Big 12 title. (NewsOK)
ICYMI: My short history of Oklahoma State in emojis. (PFB)
Dates for the Cowboy Caravan in Tulsa and OKC. (NewsOK)
Whoa, Texas’ kicker hit an 80-yarder! (Fox SW)
Justice Hill is primed for a huge senior season. (PFB)
Hmmm … FPI does not have faith in OSU’s 2015 season either. (ESPN)
This is a great paragraph. Bowman is the Eskimo record holder for most receptions in a single season. Bowman snagged 112 passes in 2014. Which is one largest numbers in the history of the CFL as well. If Bowman maintains his track, he will be a legend in the Eskimo organization for years to come. (CRFF)
The schedule really couldn’t set up better for the Pokes to challenge for the Big 12 crown. Oklahoma State will have to play well to win at Texas, West Virginia and Texas Tech, all capable teams. But if they can get through those unscathed, the Cowboys will have the chance to take the Big 12 title without having to leave Pickens Stadium. (ESPN)
Leaving room for the imagination is part of what makes the Big 12 great. (PFB)
Realignment notes
Separating from Oklahoma State, meanwhile, would be a political nightmare for the Sooners. Local politicians, even those with OU backgrounds, would have to know that Oklahoma State getting squeezed into a lesser league would not be good for the overall health of the state. (ESPN)
Berry Tramel got some emails on conference realignment which is always fun. (NewsOK)
Elite 11
How Elite 11 QBs have fared in Big 12 play. OSU’s only two have been Bobby Reid and J.W. Walsh. (ESPN)
So … Nick Starkel is awesome for reasons that have nothing to do with football. (NewsOK)
Hoops misc.
OSU’s decrease in season ticket sales was larger than any other D1 team. Yikes. (Tulsa World)
Fowler wins Scotland
Fowler took down Matt Kuchar and Raphael Jacquelin at Gullane on Sunday. It was tremendous (especially the end). (PFB)
Seems good.

Other stuff I’m reading
The new Miss USA went to Bishop Kelly. (Tulsa World)
Oklahoma beats Texas for Miss USA. I presume all of Miss Texas' answers in the Q&A were intercepted.

ESPN and the post-TV world. This was incredibly interesting. Feels like ESPN is finally catching up to what everyone else is doing. (The Atlantic)
GQ’s emails are the best emails. (Contently)
Is ESPN a giant bubble about to burst. Must read stuff on the future of how we watch sports. (Fox)
