One of the cool things that came out of the surveys a few weeks back was that several of you said you would like to be contributors to the blog and would love to help fill in some of the gaps I miss or don’t have time to get.

One of those is (obviously) recruiting. I know there’s a market for it and that a lot of you like reading it. But I don’t have time and don’t really want to devote my time to it.

Enter: Kenzie Kepple.

Kenzie is a student at OSU and he pitched me on doing a recruiting roundup type post once a week. I asked him to do a trial this week with some football and basketball stuff and I think he nailed it.

Here’s his post on where we’re at with football recruiting and who OSU is pursuing…

It’s the time of the year for Mike Gundy and his staff to round out an already much hyped 2014 class. There are a few spots left and a few days left to fill them with National Signing Day around the corner on Wednesday, February 5.

2014 class rankings

ESPN: 26
Rivals: 24
Scout: 14
247: 28

With 27 commits total and five already on campus,[1. Former Illinois Commit Jordan Frazier committed and enrolled after the OkState.com press release.] the Pokes can add three more commitments to it’s tally to reach the 25 fall enrollee NCAA limit. Mike Gundy and his staff were undoubtedly hard at work last weekend with four prospects on official visits to Stillwater.

Kenny Young, 4-Star 6’2 220 pound OLB from River Ridge, Louisiana (ESPN, Rivals, Scout, 247)

Arguably the most sought after prospect left for the Cowboys. Along with the Oklahoma State offer, Young has offers from Florida State, LSU, Miami, Texas A&M, UCLA, and Arkansas. With visits already made to Arkansas, Texas A&M, LSU, and Oklahoma State, Young will make his final visit to UCLA this weekend. He will announce his decision on signing day, February 5th.

Coach Gundy visited Young at his school Wednesday. Gundy proclaimed his visit to Young’s high school with this subtle tweet. Heh.

Kirk Tucker, 3-Star 6’1 180 pound Safety from Tucker, Georgia (ESPN, Rivals, Scout, 247)

The former Stanford commit switched to the Cowboys during his visit…

Joseph Paul, 3-Star 6’4 340 pound OL from New Orleans, Louisiana (ESPN, Rivals, Scout, 247)

The current OU commit visited this past weekend. No word yet on how the visit went. (NewsOK)

Sione Teuhema, 4-Star 6’4 215 DE from Keller, Texas (ESPN, Rivals, Scout, 247)

He and his brother (2015 5-star) are committed to Texas, but he took a visit to OSU this past weekend.

Texas beat writer for ESPN Max Olson reports Sione is sticking with his Texas pledge.

Former UTSA commit and Owasso receiver, John Cole Neph decided to walk-on at OSU and will immediately earn the title of best hair on the team. Click link for confirmation. (NewsOK)
