Joe Mixon suspended from OU team activities, attends team activity
Not a good look, fellas. Not a good look at all.
According to the Oklahoman Joe Mixon was supposed to have basically been kicked off of OU’s football team for the 2014-15 school year for striking a female in the face.
Here’s the exact verbiage:
Mixon was removed from the roster immediately and will be excluded from all team activities during the suspension. Mixon will be permitted to continue as a student at OU and will still be eligible for financial aid.
On Thursday Mixon attended the RAH Rally with the rest of OU’s football team. OU’s main athletics Twitter account even tweeted about it!
According to the OU website the event “includes free food, giveaways, appearances by members of the football team and spirit squads, as well as other potential surprises.”
Sure sounds like a team activity!
Here’s Mixon (black shirt):
Good to see OU taking the suspension so seriously.
