Mike Gundy Explains Why He Fears Mike Leach in a Rumble Royale
Mike Gundy is worried about coaches with swords.
After Mike Gundy went Gladiator on Tom Herman at the end of the Texas game in Stillwater earlier this season … wait … let’s pause and appreciate that one more time …
Ok, so after that happened, it got those within college football talking about who would actually win if all the CFB coaches got into an all-out rumble. Gundy was asked this question this week by Holly Rowe, and his answer was pretty great.
“I would say going to bat for me is a good choice with the wrestling skills,” said Gundy. Then he noted that the two guys that worry him are Charlie Strong (who he noted is quite fit) and Mike Leach.
“The other guy you have to watch out for is Mike Leach because he’ll have a sword,” added Gundy. “If Leach has a sword, he knows how to use it. He’s been trained and is very talented with a weapon. He’d be a tough guy to beat.”
People wanted to know which CFB Coach would win in a throw-down, rumble. So of course I went to the expert, Mike Gundy. @CowboyFB #micdrop pic.twitter.com/Z2uUQTY7yj

Incredibly, Leach was asked the same question about Pac-12 coaches recently, and his answer is equally hilarious.
I know we've all wondered it, but if there was an all out brawl among the Pac-12 football head coaches, who would be the last coach standing? Here's Mike Leach's take: pic.twitter.com/CBguAAbn8r
