RESULTS: 65 percent think Jhajuan Seales is next
I think I disagree with this.
I have to say I was a tad surprised by the poll results on Wednesday though I probably shouldn’t have been. As of late Wednesday night (I’m on the road on Thursday) here’s how the percentages looked when I asked who would end with the best college career.
Player | Percentage |
Jhajuan Seales | 65 percent |
Marcell Ateman | 13 percent |
James Washington | 12 percent |
Ra’Shaad Samples | 10 percent |
Seales blew everybody away in the poll. I get why — he had 570 and three TDs and catches like this all season:
He’s the safest pick of the four but I’m not sure if he’s the most talented. I voted Ateman — he strikes me as the baddest dude of the group, the one most likely to transform into Justin Blackmon. I don’t know if he ever will or if he’ll even have a season like Seales did last year but there were times last year where he looked just dominant.
Take the Mizzou game: He had four catches for 36Â yards but he looked like he belonged out there in a monster bowl game against a tough SEC team. He was fun to watch.
Here were some of the best comments:
Troy: We are so loaded at receiver, why not put Washington a cornerback. It looks like he is pretty good at intercepting passes.
TeaTown: They say Washington is raw but dude has HUGE potential. Still I voted for Seales. Wanna see Ateman step it up big time this season and what about Caleb Muncrief? I always thought w/ his size he should’ve been a slot receiver. Come on, that dude is a potential Wes Welker type asset!
Josey:Â Blake Webb, Austin Hays and David Glidden? Oh, nevermind..wrong color.
