The Stillwater Regional got off to a good start for the Cowboys and Titans. If you couldn’t make it out to Allie P. or didn’t watch on ESPN3, here’s what you missed:

Fish and Walton With Clutch Hits As Pokes Shut Out Binghamton

OSU got off to a slow start, stranding runners in the 1st and 2nd. The Cowboys would capitalize in the 3rd though, with Donnie Walton hitting an RBI single and later scoring on a wild pitch. Walton finished the day with three hits and three runs.

The Big 12 Player of the Year also got his, as Zach Fish went 2-3 with three RBIs. Bryan Case got in on the fun as well with a solo home run. The Cowboys drew eight walks and had 10 hits in an 8-0 win over the Bearcats.

Tyler Buffett struck out six in 4.2 innings while Vince Wheeland got his 10th win of the season. OSU was also able to save the bullpen – Hackerott, Battenfield and Hatch combined to throw just 52 pitches in the last three innings.

The win gives the Cowboys a matchup with Cal State Fullerton, with the winner going to the Regional championship. Expect ace Jon Perrin to start on the mound for OSU.

Good crowd on hand for the game.

A barehanded grab and throw with the bases loaded to get out of the inning. Easily a Sportscenter Top 10 play.

Such a fantastic view. The field crew really doesn’t get enough credit.

Fullerton Hits Grand Slam, Knocks Nebraska To Loser’s Bracket

This one looked like a pitcher’s duel for a while. Fullerton didn’t even get a hit until the 7th inning, when the Titans tied the game at 1. But in the 8th, right fielder/closer J.D. Davis hit a grand slam, the first for Fullerton all season. That would be the difference, as Davis pitched the 9th to lock up a 5-1 win.

Times And Matchups For Day Two

Here’s what today’s games look like. Reminder: all games will be live online on ESPN3.

Nebraska vs. Binghamton, 12 p.m.
Oklahoma State vs. Cal State Fullerton, 7 p.m.

Around The Big 12

It was a perfect day for the conference, as all five teams won Regional games. Kansas got off to a great start, scoring six runs in the first two innings in a 10-6 win over Kentucky. Meanwhile, Texas Tech walked off with a 3-2 win against Columbia when Eric Gutierrez doubled in the winning run.

Texas got revenge over an old rival when it beat Texas A&M 8-1, with Nathan Thornhill striking out seven in seven innings. TCU had the most trouble, needing a Boomer White RBI single in the 11th inning to get past Siena 2-1.

Update On The Corvallis Regional

As a reminder, the winner of the Stillwater Regional will take on the winner of the Corvallis Regional. With that in mind, here’s what happened out west yesterday.

In the first game, No. 3 seed UC Irvine crushed the No. 2 seed UNLV, 10-3. Seven different players had a hit, including first baseman Connor Spencer’s double and three RBIs.

No. 1 overall seed Oregon State took on North Dakota State in the nightcap, and had more trouble than expected. Both teams scored once in the 2nd, and that score would remain until the 7th, when right fielder Dylan Davis hit a solo home run. That was the difference in the Beavers’ 2-1
