Mike Boynton fielded an on-campus visit from former Xavier signee Kentrevious Jones on Saturday, then Sunday, flew cross country to visit another big name big man prospect.
According to Corey Evans of Rivals.com, Boynton is expected to complete an in-home with 2019 five-star center Armando Bacot, a Virginia native widely viewed as a top 40 prospect in the class and one of the best players at his position.

Bacot has Oklahoma State among his final 10 schools — along with Duke, UNC and other major programs — and the Cowboys’ push all along has been to bring him in with the potential of him being a one-and-done standout.
“They are just a program that thinks that I can be a one-and-done,” five-star Armando Bacot told Rivals of OSU this winter. “They have been telling me that they don’t really have any back-to-the-basket bigs that they can throw the ball into, and that I could help change the culture down there.”
Bacot is still potentially a ways from making a final decision, but OSU’s ability to hang tight with the big dogs is worth noting. Given that the Cowboys can likely offer immediate playing time as a starter, too, certainly won’t hurt their chances in the race for this blue-chipper.
