Social Reaction to Dez Bryant’s Release by the Dallas Cowboys

The Dallas Cowboys decided to part ways with their franchise receiver of the last nine years and Twitter was abuzz with the fallout, some possible landing spots for the three-time Pro Bowler — and with Bryant’s owning feelings on the matter.

Let’s jump into some of the highlights starting with the man himself.

Russell Okung, Dez’ former teammate at OSU, made his feelings known.

Second-year Cowboy, Taco Charlton didn’t mince words when he heard the news.

Newly inked Cowboys receiver Allen Hurns will likely get the Bryant’s share of targets now that Dez has eXited stage right, but that didn’t stop him from reaching out.

And Cowboys safety Byron Jones is willing to forgive a tab Dez never paid.

Pro Bowl receiver Deandre Hopkins was less than subtle, and is apparently not afraid of a little competition in the receiver room.

As did Buffalo’s LeSean McCoy…

Probably wishful thinking… But imagining a Jimmy G-to-Dez connection…. I’m weak.. Garrett Celek may have to work out a deal on that jersey number, though.
