Four Cowboys Get Measured Ahead of the Senior Bowl
Ollie Gordon is still a tank.
Something that was already known: Ollie Gordon is a unit. Something that wasn’t entirely known: just how much of a unit Gordon is.
Players participating in this week’s Senior Bowl festivities were measured on Monday, where Gordon came in at 6-foot-1, 233 pounds. Of the dozen running backs who were measured Monday, Gordon was the tallest (one of only two taller than 6 feet), the heaviest, had the biggest arms and the longest wingspan. OSU listed Gordon at 6-foot-2, 225 pounds in his junior season.
Ravens rusher Derrick Henry is the standard for people saying, “Woah, that’s a big running back,” so for reference, Henry is listed at 6-3, 247 pounds.

Elsewhere, Collin Oliver came in about 6-foot-2, 242 pounds — just about what he was listed at this past season for the Cowboys.
Oliver has played defensive end and linebacker in his time in Stillwater. Where he fits into the NFL game in terms of position has been a wonder. The Senior Bowl has him listed as an edge rusher. He’s the lightest among the 17 listed edge rushers who were measured, but he would’ve been on the heavier end of linebackers. He’s a true tweener, who will be helped when coaches look at the film and see how productive he has been as a Cowboy.

Speaking of linebackers, Nick Martin was measured about 6-foot and 222 pounds. He was listed at 6-foot, 220 this past season. Again, shoutout to OSU roster makers for realistic measurements.
Martin was on the lighter side of linebackers, but not by a ton. Six of the 10 linebackers who were measured weighed in the 220s and many came in around 6-foot or 6-foot-1.

Lastly, there’s safety Trey Rucker, who got a late invite to head down to mobile. He was listed about 6-feet, 212 pounds, again on par with his roster listing this past season. His measurables were comparable to the rest of the 12 invited safeties. He was actually the third-heaviest safety measured.
