2020 Linebacker Mason Cobb Commits to Oklahoma State
OSU has its man in Mason Cobb.
Class of 2020 linebacker Mason Cobb didn’t send a tweet, an Instagram, a Facebook or Snapchat update to announce his college commitment on Wednesday. Instead, the Utah area prospect quietly sent his National Letter of Intent, allowing the program of his choosing to announce the news.
And so that’s exactly what Oklahoma State did Wednesday morning:
Welcome to Stillwater, Mason Cobb!

Cobb chose Oklahoma State over Louisville, his other presumed finalist. He visited both schools on an official basis over the last month, but OSU got the final pitch this past weekend and helped seal the deal.

Cobb hails from Provo, Utah, the same state as fellow 2020 signee Nicolas Session, who all along was in Cobb’s ear making a pitch for the two to team up in Stillwater together.
Cobb, a 6-foot, 225-pound three-star recruit, is the third linebacker in the 2020 class for OSU joining Cole Thompson and Jeff Roberson. As we reported yesterday, there is belief among the OSU coaching staff that he could be a similarly unheralded-but-great find in the same way Kolby Harvell-Peel was two classes ago.
With Cobb in the fold and the current infrastructure of the class that’s already in place, OSU currently ranks No. 41 in the country in the recruiting rankings and sixth in the Big 12 behind OU, Texas, TCU, West Virginia and Iowa State.
