STILLWATER — None of the Cowgirl spring sports delivered an all-timer this year, but the golf team put together its best finish in six seasons, and the softball team took another step forward after failing to advance past the regional round in 2025.

Oklahoma State softball coach Kenny Gajewski will need to replace ace pitcher Ruby Meylan, no easy task, but otherwise both teams seem well prepared to build on strong postseason efforts next year.

This is the second installment in a four-part series looking back at how each OSU team finished in the 2025-26 athletics calendar year. Be sure to check out Part 1: Fall Sports and Part 2: Winter Sports.

Softball

Record: 41-17, 16-8 Big 12

Postseason: Super Regionals

Conference: Semifinalist

All-Americans: P Ruby Meylan

Final Thoughts: This season was a return to form for the Cowgirls in pretty much every way except they didn’t make it back to the Women’s College World Series. Oklahoma State looked largely unbeatable down the stretch until the Cowgirls ran into Nebraska in the Supers, where the Cornhuskers won 8-1 and 9-1.

It’s easy to imagine those games taking place in OKC if the OSU had managed to draw a higher overall seed, but the Cowgirls were hurt by a rougher start than usual, which prevented them from hosting Supers for the second consecutive season.

Ruby Meylan was a force to be reckoned with throughout the season, but her postseason performance highlights how vulnerable the Cowgirls were when Meylan couldn’t deliver her very best.

Postseason: Sixth

Conference: Fourth

All-Americans: Marta Silchenko

Final Thoughts: Oklahoma State advanced to match play at the NCAA Championships for the first time since 2021. There, they ran into No. 7 Arkansas, who won match play 5-0.

The Cowgirls have since earned a No. 13 overall ranking from the NCAA.

Junior Marta Silchenko finished the season ranked 16th by Clipp’d individual rankings. She also finished a career-best No. 43 in the World Amateur Golf Ranking. She averaged a 70.96 stroke average with 20 rounds at par-or-better and nine top 10s across 11 events and 34 rounds.

All four of OSU’s other end-of-season starters (Ellie Bushnell, Summer Lee, Yu-Chu Chen, Tarapath Panya) also have eligibility remaining.

Tennis

Record: 8-12, 5-8 Big 12

All-Conference:

Anastasiya Komar

Rose Marie Nijkamp

Olivia Lincer

Luca Udvardy

Final Thoughts: The Cowgirls dropped three of their last five played matches before canceling each of their final five matches due to “insufficient number of players.”

It was a terrible ending for a program that seemed to possess legit national title aspirations under former coach Chris Young, who was dismissed following an NCAA investigation last summer.

New head coach Katarina Adamovic is a former Cowgirl with an overall record of 58-35 following two seasons at both Grand Canyon and Houston.

Grade: F

Equestrian

Record: 8-4, 4-2 Big 12

Postseason: Quarterfinalist

Conference: Champions

All-Americans:

Ava Bush

Emma Filiatreau

June Roberson

Bella D’Onforio

Final Thoughts: The Cowgirls dropped their last two regular-season meets only to rebound and claim the program’s sixth-consecutive Big 12 crown in the postseason. As has become routine, the Cowgirls proved skilled enough to win one in the NCEA National Championship bracket, but were unable to advance further. This time, it was Georgia who stood in the way, ending OSU’s season 14-5 in the quarterfinals.

Ava Bush, Emma Filiatreau and June Roberson finished with First Team All-American honors, a first for all except Roberson, who also earned the same honor last year. She currently ranks sixth in program history with 35 horsemanship wins in her career.

Bella D’Onforio earned Second Team All-American honors.

Grade: B-

Cowgirl Track

Postseason: 57th

Conference: 6th

All-Americans:

Annie Molenhouse (Heptathlon); First Team

Burklie Burton (Hammer Throw); Second Team

Rachel Neaves (Hammer Throw); Second Team

Kaylie Politza (800 meters); Honorable Mention

Final Thoughts: Annie Molenhouse took sixth at NCAAs this season in the Heptathlon with 5,971 points. She also leaves the program with the all-time record set in the recent conference meet, where she scored 6,005.

Burklie Burton and Rachel Neaves finished 12th and 15th, respectively, at NCAAs. This marks the end of Neaves’ career, but signals a bright beginning for Burton, a freshman.

The Cowgirls were slightly more successful in 2025, scoring five points at NCAAs instead of the three they scored this time around.
