OSU Resurrects the Brand, Goes All-Black for Bedlam
Oh man! I’d like to change my final score prediction. OSU is going black/black/black with the brand new orange brand helmet with the chrome brand.

This is the first time we’ve seen the brand highlighted on a helmet since last year’s season opener against Southeastern Louisiana (white) and the first time we’ve seen it with black since the 2015 Sugar Bowl. Some thought it was dead. I choose to believe that the brand sticker book just got lost for two years and was uncovered during some spring cleaning and held for Bedlam.

This helmet is outstanding. The paisley trim works perfectly with the jersey trim. It actually elevates the tops in my opinion. The updated logo is awesome. Justin Southwell, our chief uni officer, has already crowned this the best helmet ever and I can’t come up with a reason to argue with him.

The all-black look with the matte black helmet is about as mean as can be. We saw it twice last year in home games against Texas and Texas Tech. Those were good but this helmet makes this one great.
Also of note, Oklahoma State is 6-1 all-time when donning all-black threads with its only loss the defending National Champion Florida State in 2014.
Let’s hope that whatever cranny in Boone Pickens Stadium the equipment staff found the brand sticker book, also held some of Mike Gundy’s audacity. Because both would be huge today.
