Chasing History: James Washington Still Tracking to Out-Pace Rashaun Woods

Despite not playing the full 60 minutes of the Bedlam shootout on Saturday, James Washington still finished with one score and lead the team in receiving yards with 128, putting him ever-closer to Rashaun Woods for first all-time in the OSU record books.

With three regular season games and a bowl game remaining, Washington needs just 90 yards per game to finish No. 1 in the OSU record books.

Washington needs to up his scoring, though, if he wants to finish at the top in receiving touchdowns. He’s on pace thus far to score 1.1 receiving touchdowns per game, which would leave him just shy of Rashaun. He needs to average 1.75 scores per game in his final four games to top Woods.

As for QB1, Rudolph tossed for five touchdowns and 448 yards in the Bedlam defeat — gaudy numbers, especially in a loss. He built his lead even more on Brandon Weeden on the passing yards and passing touchdowns list, further distancing himself as the most productive QB in OSU history.

With four games (maaaaaybe 5) left on the schedule, Rudolph is on pace to finish just shy of 5,000 passing yards (4,787) in his final season, which would eclipse a career-best in a season by several hundred yards.
