Social Media Reaction After Oklahoma State Hangs on to Beat Iowa State
The game was great, but the social media reaction may have been even better. Oklahoma State looked lost and then found and then lost again in Ames before finally pulling out a 49-42 win over the Cyclones to move to 8-2 on the season.
We’ll start at the very beginning.
It’s a very good place to start.
.@GuerinEmig suggests Iowa State adds a line about Joel Lanning to its Alma Mater.

The Joel Lanning love is amazing. Berry Tramel might vote for him over Baker Mayfield for the Heisman.

!!!
Don't let these early morning kickoffs get in your way of remembering @Joey_Galloway picked a team that is currently 1-8 to win the Big 12.

It’s never not funny. Ever.
I️ told @pistolsguys and @KOCOCarson last year that Justice Hill will break Thurman’s all-time school rushing record of 4847 yards. Long way to go but sticking with it

I’m here for all the Justice career records.

Just an amazing tweet by Southwell. No RTs!
These last two drives have been indicative of the whole season: foot on the pedal, but the other foot is on the brake.

Great analogy, actually.

He was unfathomably bad.
No idea who QB will be. But Oklahoma St is going to have another stellar offensive skill contingent next year in T. Johnson, Wallace, Hill, King, McCleskey, Stoner…
— Jake Trotter (@Jake_Trotter) November 11, 2017
This is true.
“______________________ and you will be in trouble late in Ames”….I’d believe just about anything.

This is also true.
@ESPNMcGee Mike Gundy in a pistol Pete hoodie, silver tipped belt and mullet in the wind should be the cover for ESPN the magazine or a video game

Yes.
A couple streaks on the line in this one.
– James Washington's consecutive games with at least one reception.
– Oklahoma State D getting a turnover.
— Kendrick Marshall (@KD_Marshall) November 11, 2017
Barely (BARELY) got both of those.

Needed it. We would have all been so angry, but it would have been incredible.
Tough day for Noland. Great day for Nolan.

Indeed.
Marcell Ateman: 4 catches, 97 yards 2 TD. 10 years from now I️ will say he had: 12 catches, 157 yards, 4 TD. That’s what it felt like. #okstate
— Carson Cunningham (@KOCOCarson) November 11, 2017
Felt like even more than that.

And I’m here for every one of these games.
Gundy: "I thought he lost his mind." On the fourth-and-6 Rudolph QB draw called by OC Mike Yurcich.
— Kendrick Marshall (@KD_Marshall) November 11, 2017
Likely not the first time he’s thought that.

The perfect recap.
Gundy: “We should charge people more to watch us play. They don’t change the channel so we add commercial value.” #okstate
— Carson Cunningham (@KOCOCarson) November 11, 2017
Or maybe this is the perfect recap.
