Marcell Ateman Scores TD on Only Senior Bowl Catch
The Senior Bowl took place on Saturday and while both of OSU’s wide receivers in Mobile impressed during the week of practice leading up to the event, the two combined for only one catch during the actual game.
It was Marcell Ateman who paid off his one catch with 14 yards and 6 points.

Ateman saw just two targets all day but, again, impressed during the practices last week.

Then there was this strong-handed catch a la the third-down play at Texas Tech.

James Washington somehow only saw one target on the day!
Yea this is not how you use James Washington either. This play better suited for Marcell Ateman. #seniorbowl pic.twitter.com/9WPXUE7UB1

Fortunately, Washington did plenty to impress during last week’s practice and continues to move up mock draft boards.
An official invite list for the NFL Combine will be released in early February and Washington and Ateman should both be included, as well as Mason Rudolph who missed Senior Bowl practices and games with a sprained foot.
