OSU Opens as 31.5-Point Favorite Over South Alabama in Week 2
Another non-Power 5 opponent means another massive point spread in favor of the Pokes in Week 2.
After Oklahoma State crushed Missouri State on Thursday 58-17 as a 37-point favorite (good teams win, great teams cover!), OSU is once again a favorite as South Alabama comes to town. According to betonline.ag, the line is -31.5 in favor of the home team.
According to covers.com, OSU is a smart bet if you’re taking into account recent early season history with the program. Last season, OSU won by larger amounts than the initial point spread in each of the first three weeks, and did so seven times throughout the season. Against South Alabama last season, in fact, OSU was favored by 28 … and won by 37.
South Alabama is coming off a 30-26 season-opening loss to La. Tech as it enters Week 2 against Oklahoma State. The game will take place next Saturday at 7 p.m., and it airs on Fox Sports Network.
