PFB Picks: Laying Out Our Predictions for Oklahoma State – Boise State Game
Our staff makes its picks for OSU’s Week 3 tilt with Boise State.
The Cowboys face their first true test of the 2018 season against the visiting No. 17 Broncos of Boise State. Here’s how the PFB staff sees things shaking out.
Kyle Porter: Boise State 38 | Oklahoma State 33 — I think this is going to be a great one, but I’m not totally sure I trust the Oklahoma State offense yet. OSU’s lack of discipline and lack of special teams lose the day, and the offense isn’t quite mighty enough to rescue them.
Kyle Boone: Oklahoma State 51 | Boise State 48 — Cardiac Cowboys return. The gavel of Justice drops with no mercy as he carries the OSU O to an OT thriller.
Kyle Cox: Boise State 42 | Oklahoma State 38 — The amount of veteran experience the Broncos boast on both sides of the ball — especially on defense and at QB — spells doom for a retooling OSU team. An ongoing trend of turnovers, penalties and overall lack of discipline finally catches up with the Pokes.
Marshall Scott: Boise State 38 | Oklahoma State 31 — I just have an eerie feeling about this one. I think Boise’s experience will be the determining factor.
Dustin Ragusa: Oklahoma State 38 | Boise State 31 — I think Cornelius improves again off the game before, limiting mistakes while still playing loose. In addition, Justice Hill gets around 25 carries and the Cowboys wear down Boise State’s defense with a balanced attack. On the other side of the ball, I think OSU gives up a few big plays, but also forces multiple three-and-outs, along with a couple turnovers, allowing the Cowboys to come out on top by a touchdown.
Seth Duckworth: Oklahoma State 35 | Boise State 28 — Malcolm Rodriguez is all over the field again on defense this week and the OSU offense runs the ball a lot, slowing down the scoring a bit and keeping it just below the over (O/U Currently at 64.5).
Grant Newton: Oklahoma State 41 | Boise State 31 — I’m taking the Pokes Saturday. I just think OSU has better athletes across the board. I understand Boise has veterans and experience, but this OKState team has talent that has been waiting to play against real competition. And I can’t wait to see Justice getting the touches he deserves this afternoon.
