A look around the Big 12 as the teams enter their final stretch.

With each team having two games remaining, it’s a four-horse race to get into the Big 12 Championship game.

Oklahoma, West Virginia, Iowa State and Texas are the four teams, and funnily enough, Texas and Iowa State will play next week and Oklahoma and West Virginia finish the regular season playing each other.

Outside of the wild Bedlam game Saturday night, fists flew elsewhere in the Big 12 and Kansas nearly won its first Big 12 road game since 2008.

No. 9 West Virginia 47, TCU 10

The Horned Frogs took a 3-0 lead into the second quarter, so there is that.

West Virginia held TCU to -7 (NEGATIVE SEVEN) rushing yards Saturday. Will Grier threw for 343 yards, three touchdowns and a pick. He wasn’t sacked.

Jalen Reagor has been a bright spot for this struggling TCU team. He had 11 catches for 150 yards and a touchdown Saturday.

No. 19 Texas 41, Texas Tech 34

Lil’Jordan Humphrey skied over Texas Tech corner Damarcus Fields before dragging Fields into the end zone with 21 seconds left.

It was a 29-yard touchdown pass that gave the Longhorns the win in a tightly-contested ballgame.

Humphrey finished with eight catches for 159 yards and two touchdowns. UT quarterback Sam Ehlinger threw for 312 yards, four touchdowns and no interceptions.

Tech is down to third-string quarterback Jett Duffey. Duffey threw for 444 yards and four touchdowns. He also led the Red Raiders with 80 rushing yards, but Duffey had three turnovers in an interception and two fumbles.

Tech’s Antoine Wesley entered Saturday as the nation’s second-leading receiver. Against Texas, Wesley caught eight passes for 171 yards and two touchdowns.

No. 22 Iowa State 28, Baylor 14

The Baylor defense and the Iowa State offense came to blows, literally.

That’s Baylor’s Greg Roberts throwing an attempted Superman punch over the official to hit Iowa State star running back David Montgomery. Both were ejected, and this is a big deal because it means Montgomery will be suspended for the first half of Iowa State’s game against Texas next week.

Brock Purdy has still yet to lose a collegiate game. He threw for 230 yards and a touchdown while running for another 56 yards and a score.

Charlie Brewer got ejected after two unsportsmanlike conduct penalties. Before his exit, Brewer had 288 passing yards, two passing touchdowns and 72 rushing yards.

Kansas State 21, Kansas 17

Alex Delton drew another start in place of an injured Skylar Thompson.

Delton ran scored on a 21-yard rush with 2:46 left to take the lead. On Kansas’ next drive, the Jayhawks got to the K-State 32, but KU quarterback Peyton Bender fumbled in the most Kansas football way with 33 seconds left, as the Wildcats were able to escape big, bad KU.

Bender finished the game with 232 passing yards and two touchdowns. Delton had 126 passing yards, no passing touchdowns, but he did run for 55 yards and the score.

Running back Alex Barnes was the Wildcats’ MVP. Barnes ran for 117 yards and two scores.
