Watch: Mike Gundy Dances in Locker Room Following West Virginia Win
Mike Gundy enjoyed an historic comeback win with his players in a way only he can.
It was a memorable, emotion-filled night in Stillwater on Saturday. Several long-tenured Pokes took Lewis Field inside BPS for the last time of their careers. And they got to close that book the right way, toppling No. 7 West Virginia in an historic and dramatic comeback win.
Mike Gundy celebrated that win in a way few coaches could pull off, but that he pioneered.

Following the huge win (and that unbelievable dance display), Mike Gundy started his postgame comments by addressing his players.
“Obviously, that was a fun one, great college football game,” Gundy said. “I’m really proud of our players and their ability to fight back.”
The dancing, and smoothies, and press conference antics — even the mullet — might come across as contrived if not for this side of Gundy. He legitimately loves his players and took time to enjoy a huge win with them during a season that hasn’t gone the way any involved wanted or probably expected.
“…They’re playing hard, I’m proud of them,” Gundy continued. “We’re doing it with some new guys. We played a center that’s never played today. Didn’t have Justice (Hill), didn’t have (JD) King.
“So I’m proud of them for their effort and what they give to the program, and the character and culture to them means a lot.”
