OSU Recruiting: Mike Gundy Makes Personal Offer to In-State Star Middleton
Middleton plays both safety and running back at Bishop Kelley.
Bishop Kelley star Zach Middleton has added his biggest offer to date.
After Air Force, Army, Eastern Michigan and Arkansas State made pitches to the Tulsa native in recent weeks, Oklahoma State joined the mix on Wednesday by extending him an offer. It’s his only Power 5 offer to date — and Gundy made the offer himself.

Middleton is a listed 5-foot-11, 190 pound prospect who can play either side of the ball. At Bishop Kelley, he plays both running back and safety; it’s likely OSU would bring him in with hopes he could play on the back end of the defense.
OSU does not have a commitment at running back or safety in the 2020 class, but it is already well-represented with Oklahoma products. Of the five commitments in the cycle, three — Eli Russ, Brynden Walker and Cole Thompson — are from within the state borders.
The Pokes are also after in-state safety/corner Myles Slusher, who hails from Broken Arrow High School. Out-of-state safety targets include Xavion Alford and Christian Gonzalez.
As a junior last season Middleton rushed for 1,129 yards and 15 touchdowns and also recorded 83 tackles, 11 pass breakups, two forced fumbles and one interception.
