OSU Hoops Set to Host Two Four-Star Prospects This Weekend
It will be a big recruiting weekend in Stillwater.
Another weekend, another big stage for Oklahoma State hoops, who will once again play host to multiple big-name recruits.
According to Corey Evans of Rivals.com, the Cowboys coaching staff will host not one but two four-star prospects this weekend: Jaylin Williams and Ty Berry.
Williams, a 6-foot-9 center from Fort Smith, Arkansas, will be visiting on an official basis while Berry’s visit will be unofficial. (Officials are paid by the school and seen as the respective school’s chance to roll out the red carpet, while the financial burden for unofficial visitors falls on the players and their family.)
Williams is a 2020 prospect who has already garnered offers from Arkansas, Auburn, Texas A&M, Oklahoma State, Illinois, TCU and LSU. Berry, a 6-foot-2 combo guard from Newton, Kansas, also holds an offer from Oklahoma State and is also a Class of 2020 recruit. Colorado, Creighton, K-State and a number of other programs across the country have already offered.
OSU has one commitment already in the 2020 recruiting class from Arkansas product Davonte Davis, a 6-foot-4 point guard from Jacksonville, so adding another product from the state in Williams, who figures to be an excellent complement, would be huge. Rolling out the orange carpet to impress could go a long ways in shaping how a pivotal recruiting class could ultimately look like at the end of the cycle.
