Photos: OSU Baseball’s New Stadium Appears to be Coming Along Nicely
This place is going to be a palace.
To quote Oklahoma State baseball’s Twitter account, some very big things are happening at McElroy and Washington in Stillwater, America.
Construction for the baseball program’s new $60 million stadium is well underway and the fruits of the labor that’s been put in all offseason is already paying off. OSU shared some progress pictures of the stadium this past week, and they’re impressive enough to disrupt our regular football programming on game week. Just have a look for yourself. There’s no other way to put it: this stadium is going to be palatial. It’s on track to open for the 2020 season, and while it’s not finished just yet, there’s no doubt the bones of it are already nice enough to impress perspective recruits. Between the 2,000-square foot video board, the 7,400-square foot locker room, the natural grass and the family-friendly atmosphere, there’s a pretty good chance this venue will immediately become one of the best in the college game right away.
“The stadium will be a physical manifestation of Oklahoma State University’s commitment to excellence in baseball,” said Mike Holder last year when the project was announced.
As a refresher, here’s the mock-up OSU released when it announced the project in 2018. Things appear to be tracking as expected:
