Tylan Wallace Announces He’ll Return to Oklahoma State for Senior Year
Tylan is returning.
One of the biggest stay-or-go NFL decisions for Oklahoma State this offseason has been answered: Tylan Wallace is staying.
Wallace, the All-American OSU receiver whose 2019 season was cut short after suffering a torn ACL, announced Wednesday he plans to put the NFL on hold and will finish out his college career by playing next season at OSU as a senior.
“We are building something special in Stillwater and I’m not ready to leave because this is where I belong,” he said. “God has a plan for my life and I believe he places every roadblock for me to overcome.
“I want to give back to my family, my teammates, and the entire OSU community because I am beyond thankful. I’m after a Big 12 championship in 2020 and believe we have the team to do it.”

Wallace broke out as a sophomore last season, finishing top-3 in Biletnikoff Award voting — given annually to the nation’s best pass-catcher — and was well on his way to a similar finish in 2019 before the injury. Last season he caught 86 passes for 1,491 yards receiving in 13 games. In nine games this season, he had 53 catches for 903 yards and eight scores.
Wallace was on his way to likely earning a high-enough grade from NFL evaluators to jump from college to the pros after this season, but the ACL injury likely stunted his prospects — if only temporarily. 2020 could be where he earns it back, and he’ll enter next season as the clear-cut No. 1 option in an offense that should take a step forward behind second-year starting QB Spencer Sanders.
