PFB Spring 2020 Intern Introduction: Sarah Wettemann
Come get to know our new intern!
Ed. note: I’m tardy on this, but I wanted to intro our spring 2020 intern, Sarah Wettemann. I was super impressed with Sarah’s ambition and intellect throughout the intern-finding process, and I’m really excited for her to be with us this spring!
Hi, I’m Sarah Wettemann. I was born in Texas, and have lived in North Carolina and Colorado, but my family has a long history in Stillwater, which is how I developed my love for Oklahoma State sports, and all things orange and black.
For as long as I can remember, sports has been a constant part of my life. I learned math by breaking down box scores for the Boston Red Sox, cheered on Air Force football and hockey, managed my high school wrestling team, and had my first exposure to Cowboy basketball when the Pokes beat Trae Young in overtime in 2018.
Currently, I am a staff reporter for the O’Colly covering soccer and wrestling. Writing for a cutting edge, dynamic outlet like Pistols Firing excites me!
I hope to challenge Mrs. Pistols in providing the blog’s female perspective (ed. note: Won’t be difficult), while at the same time learning more about sports, writing and the effective use of social media by those who have already had considerable success in the industry.
