Tulsa-Area Recruit Chris McClellan Offered by Oklahoma State
McClellan will be one of the best in-state recruits in 2022.
In a quest to keep the top talent within the state of Oklahoma playing college at the state’s university, Mike Gundy and his staff made an offer this week to rising Class of 2022 defensive tackle Chris McClellan, a defensive tackle from Edison High School.
McClellan is a 6-foot-3, 260-pound recruit who also holds offers from Memphis and Iowa State, per 247Sports. The OSU offer comes on the heels of a visit earlier this spring to Stillwater for “Cowboy Day.”

Edison last season went 10-2 with McClellan leading its defensive charge on the front line. He’s listed as a DT recruit — and is believed to have been offered at that position — but he played at defensive end and at offensive tackle for Edison as well.
That versatility is something OSU has always valued when evaluating recruits, so no surprise that the staff has taken a liking to him. He’s already got a big frame, knows how to leverage it, and has star potential at a position that, if harnessed correctly, can be a game-changer.
Here’s a look at his highlights below from his sophomore season.
OSU has two commitments already in the 2022 class, from Kelvin Banks and De’Kelvion Beamon, an offensive tackle and safety, respectively. The 247 rankings for the Class of 2022 have not been released yet.
