Cowboys Offer 2021 Linebacker Nick Morris Jr.
OSU extends an offer to an under-the-radar defender.
Oklahoma State coaches have their eye on an under-the-radar defender out of Longhorns country.
On Thursday, 2021 linebacker Nick Morris Jr. announced an Oklahoma State offer via his Twitter account.
Hailing from Austin Westlake High School, the 6-foot-3, 225-pounder has reported offers so far from the University of Pennsylvania and Columbia, and tweeted out a pledge to Penn on Jan. 21. OSU represents Morris’ first reported Power Five scholarship offer.
But Morris is new to Big 12 country. He recently moved to Austin from Connecticut, where he had a productive career at Fairfield Prep. He currently does not have a 247 or Rivals ranking but according to Max Preps, was productive at in two years at his former school, racking up 94 total tackles, four tackles for loss, three sacks and three interceptions in just 14 games.
So, basically, Morris is your classic Oklahoma State recruit, an off-the-radar athlete with the potential to be that diamond in the rough we’ve seen OSU churn out time and time again.
Oklahoma State currently holds 15 commits for the 2021 class, with two in-state pledges at LB — Edmond Santa Fe’s Collin Oliver and Del City’s Donovan Stephens.
Take a peek at Morris’ junior season highlights.
