OSU Hosts Running Back Tiyon Evans on Virtual Tour
OSU is still on the hunt to land another RB in 2021.
Junior college running back recruit and former Tennessee commit, Tiyon Evans, took a virtual tour with the Oklahoma State football staff this week, he announced on Twitter.
Evans is a 5-11, 215-pound tailback from Hutchinson Community College who has been on OSU’s radar since April. They offered him on April 21, and he decommitted from the Vols in September amid an ongoing push from OSU and elsewhere.
OSU has one commitment at the running back position this cycle in Jaden Nixon, but it is expected to take at least one more, with Evans squarely in the mix to take that spot. OSU is also pursuing Texas standout Alton McCaskill and just last week, made an offer to UCLA commit Deshun Murrell.
The 2021 class thus far consists of 16 commitments, nine of whom are expected to play on the offensive side of the ball. But with Chuba Hubbard likely NFL-bound after this season and LD Brown on the cusp of using up his eligibility, the running back spot in particular is a focus of this class as the early signing day approaches next month.
