Mike Gundy Doused With Cheez-Its After OSU Wins Cheez-It Bowl
A perfectly cheesy ending to the Cowboys’ bowl victory.
In perhaps the most predictable, and cheesy, ending to the 2020 football season, Mike Gundy on Tuesday was doused in Cheez-Its by his players after his Oklahoma State team defeated Miami 37-34 to win the 2020 Cheez-It Bowl.
Fittingly, the deed was done by star safety Tre Sterling and receiver Brennan Presley, both of whom played major roles in the victory. Presley had one catch on the season for nine yards but exploded with six receptions, 118 yards receiving and three touchdowns. Sterling had a team-high 13 tackles, 2.5 tackles for loss and half-a-sack to his name.
That’s a win-win for everyone. Players get to celebrate with the Gatorade bath-like celebration, and Gundy, most importantly, gets to keep the mullet intact for postgame media.
