Cowboys Ranked 24th in Coaches Poll
The Cowboys are ranked for the first time this season.
For the first time this season, the Cowboys are ranked.
Oklahoma State came in at No. 24 in the updated Coaches Poll that released Monday. It’s the first time the Cowboys have been in the Coaches Poll’s Top 25 since Dec. 2, 2019, after the NIT Season Tip-Off last season. Before that, the Cowboys haven’t been in the poll since Feb. 16, 2015.
Other Big 12 teams featured in the Coaches Poll are No. 2 Baylor, No. 6 Texas, No. 11 Texas Tech, No. 14 Oklahoma, No. 18 West Virginia and No. 22 Kansas. With OSU, that makes seven Big 12 teams in the Top 25.
At 11-4, OSU was the first team out of the AP Poll that also released Monday. Somehow, Kansas (11-6) is still ahead of OSU in both polls despite the Cowboys having beaten the Jayhawks and KU having lost four of its past five games.
The Cowboys have a chance in improve on their ranking this week with games against TCU on Wednesday and Texas on Saturday.
