Former OSU Target, In-State Standout Kendal Daniels is Back on the Market
Daniels was the top-rated recruit in Oklahoma in 2021.
Former four-star recruit Kendal Daniels, a Beggs, Oklahoma, native who signed with Texas A&M in December, is back on the market.
Daniels was released from his letter of intent today according to multiple reports, thrusting the top-ranked recruit in the state for the 2021 cycle into a rather interesting situation.
OSU was once considered a potential suitors for Daniels, though it did not make his final cut before committing to the Aggies. Still, Rivals’ Bob Przyblo reports that the Pokes could be among those vying to land him.
OSU would presumably be battling in-state rival Oklahoma on that front, as the Sooners were one of his finalists before committing last summer.
It’s hard to imagine much has changed between then and now with respect to his view on Oklahoma State, but here’s a twist: Last October, well after his A&M commitment, fellow Beggs teammate CJ Brown — a four-star 2022 recruit — committed to the Cowboys. The two were offered almost exactly a year apart, but the hope was that both Beggs ballers would be Pokes.
Now it could become reality. OSU has a nice incoming safety class already headlined by Muskogee star Ty Williams, as well as Lyrik Rawls and De’Kelvion Beamon, but Daniels is the type of talent you make room for regardless of roster situation.
