Just as we all predicted (we have the receipts!), Oklahoma State on Friday night swiped top-seeded Baylor in the Big 12 tournament semifinals 83-74, securing its signature win of the season and advancing to face Texas in the title game on Saturday.

As you can imagine, social media lit up like a christmas tree in the aftermath of the festivities, so here are some highlights. Let’s start with Chris Hassel’s take on it all, to which I’ll offer two words: Yes please.

National media was all over this as well, praising Cade and the Cowboys equally.

Cade stayed with OK State through sanctions and pandemic and injury and getting swept by TCU, all for nights like tonight he'll remember forever

Can't wait for everyone to forget about this and again declare CBB dead when the first 5-star signs up for the Overtime league

No Final Four pick will be trendier than Oklahoma State on Sunday. But the Cowboys have a Big 12 Tournament title to win first.

Oh, and locally? Folks took notice (because what else do we have to do on a Friday night?) Here’s a fun video reaction from some fans in Stillwater from Brodie Myers.

Other local media chimed in as well. Think my favorite take was from Jeremy Kolok.

This wasn't just Cade > Butler. Buckets down stretch from Boone, Anderson and Walker preceded Cunningham's clinching free throws. Cade was $ in second half, but what a show from the supporting cast. #OKState

#OKstate is Final Four good. @thacoachmike has officially put @OSUMBB back on the map. pic.twitter.com/H0GkASYt2j

Mike Boynton is a stud… Cade is a stud… Lots of dudes that can flat play on that roster. This OSU team is so fun to watch. Locked in as a 3 seed in the Big Dance.

And for the kicker, a sweet reminder that OSU’s best win of the season came on Eddie Sutton’s birthday.

Let’s not forget the Cowboys just won on Eddie’s birthday. That one was for coach and Patsy. pic.twitter.com/unrgzKqWtl
