OSU Offers In-State Freshman Star David Stone
Stone is already garnering a ton of attention as a stud in 2024.
Oklahoma State on Sunday extended a scholarship offer to Class of 2024 in-state talent David Stone, making him the second prospect in the 2024 class to be offered by OSU.
Stone announced the offer with a tag for defensive line coach Greg Richmond, confirming the obvious here that Stone — a defensive end — is being recruited as a defensive lineman to OSU.
Stone joins 2024 cornerback Kobe Black — the younger brother of current OSU cornerback Kobie Black — as the only official targets for OSU in the cycle. OSU isn’t alone here though, as Memphis, Texas Tech and Iowa State have also offered Stone.
OSU’s coaching staff did well recruiting the state in the 2021 cycle in landing Kendal Daniels, Collin Oliver, Ty Williams, Jaden Bray, Aden Kelley, Donovan Stephens, Logan Nobles and Makale Smith. Speaking of Stephens, he had something to say about the Stone offer:
If the same in-state momentum for OSU continues, it could make the Cowboys a real factor here for Stone, who will no doubt become a high-level recruit over the next few years.
