OSU Football Narrowly Favored Over Baylor on Saturday
It’s the smallest margin OSU has been favored in all season.
OSU is a betting favorite on Saturday as 4-0 Baylor comes to town aiming to take down the 4-0 Pokes, but buddy, oddsmakers are expecting it to be a close one.
The Cowboys are favored by just four points according to the latest lines from Vegas Insider, which would be the slimmest margin OSU has been favored in all season (though they were underdogs against Boise State). The line opened with OSU as a 4-point favorite and got down to 3.5 points before growing back to 4 points.
Gambling odds can sometimes be prescriptive but for OSU that has not really been the case this season. Against Missouri State and Tulsa they were double-digit favorites before winning by a single possession. Then, against Boise State, they were underdogs before winning 21-20. Last weekend they were favored for the first time by single digits before winning for the first time all season by double digits. Go figure!
Baylor’s track record this season has been slightly more predictable. The Bears are 1-0 as an underdog this season, 3-0 as a favorite and have covered the spread in three of their four games.
