Update: AJ Ferrari’s Burglary Charge Dismissed, Expunged from Record

News broke Wednesday night that former Oklahoma State national champion wrestler AJ Ferrari had been charged with third-degree burglary and petit larceny, but shortly after those charges were filed, a motion was made to dismiss those charges. That dismissal was granted by the Payne County District Attorney’s office, and the charges have been cleared from the record, according to the Stillwater Police Department.

Ferrari still is in an ongoing legal process regarding a sexual battery case. He pleaded not guilty to that charge. Ferrari was booked and posted bail on Aug. 3 for that alleged offense. A preliminary hearing for the sexual battery case is scheduled for Sept. 28.

Ferrari, who was removed from the OSU wrestling team last month, was 30-1 in his career at Oklahoma State, going 20-1 in his national championship true freshman season. He was 10-0 as a sophomore before a car accident ended his season prematurely. The only loss Ferrari has suffered at the collegiate level came against Noah Adams at the Cowboy Challenge Tournament. He was the No. 1 recruit in the country out of high school.
