Jayce Caviness Signs to Wrestle at Oklahoma State as Markwayne Mullin Wins Oklahoma Senate Seat
One of the newest Oklahoma State wrestlers’ dad will soon be a United States Senator
On Wednesday, Oklahoma State signed what should be one of the top wrestling recruiting classes in the country after a big late flip from top heavyweight prospect Christian Carroll.
In that class is Jayce Caviness. Caviness is currently at Bixby and signed alongside fellow Oklahoma State commit Jersey Robb.
This was part of a pretty big week for Caviness’ family, as on Tuesday his adopted father won a seat in the United States Senate. Pictured in the tweet above is Markwayne Mullin. Jayce’s adopted father and Oklahoma’s newest United States Senator. Caviness’ father passed away in 2017, and Mullin and his wife later adopted Jayce.
Here’s an interview with Jayce after winning his first state title in 2022.
