Smith is a 6-foot-4, 195-pound pro-style passer from Junipero Serra in San Mateo, California. The Cowboys offered Smith in April, and he made his official visit to Stillwater in June.
He picked the Cowboys over a list of 20 offers that include the likes of Florida State, Washington, Utah, Colorado and others. He’s a consensus three-star prospect and a top-40 QB. ESPN ranks him as the No. 22 passer in the nation.
Smith fills the hole in OSU’s 2024 class, which didn’t have a quarterback committed. This moves the Cowboys’ class to 16 pledges. OSU is now ranked 53rd nationally and eighth in the Big 12 in recruiting rankings, per 247Sports. He’s the Cowboys’ top-rated commit, according to 247Sports.
Take a look at Smith’s highlights.
