The Bears enter Saturday’s matchup riding a three-game winning streak in the series, most recently beating the Cowboys 74-68 in Stillwater last season. That game saw John-Michael Wright score a game-high 17 points, but LJ Cryer (15), Dale Bonner (15), Jalen Bridges (14) and Adam Flagler (13) all scored in double figures for Baylor. The Bears built a 19-point lead in the second half before OSU cut it to four in the final minutes before falling.
The Cowboys’ last win in the series came in Waco when OSU upset the No. 1 Bears in the 2021-22 season. Bryce Thompson scored 19 that day, but the real standout was OSU’s defense. The Cowboys held Baylor to 54 points on 31% field-goal shooting and 29% 3-point shooting.
OSU’s last win against Baylor in Stillwater was way back in the 2014-15 season under Travis Ford, when the Cowboys beat the Bears 64-53 behind 16 points from Phil Forte III. Le’Bryan Nash added 13 that day.
