6-foot-6 Tight End Isaiah Butler-Tanner Commits to Oklahoma State
A second tight end for the Cowboys’ 2025 class.
The Cowboys did the double on Saturday.
After three-star defensive line prospect Jordan Covington committed to Oklahoma State earlier in the evening, the Pokes also got a pledge from three-star tight end Isaiah Butler-Tanner. From Shoemaker High School in Killeen, Texas, Butler-Tanner also had offers to Texas Tech, Baylor, Houston and others.

On3 lists Butler-Tanner at 6-foot-6, 255 pounds. The service also marks him as the No. 68 tight end in the 2025 class and the No. 166 player from Texas. OSU offered Butler-Tanner back in January, and he was in Stillwater this weekend for an official visit.
Butler-Tanner caught 16 passes for 157 yards as a junior at Shoemaker. He also had 16 rush attempts for 50 yards and a pair of scores. Shoemaker went 7-4 in his junior season, making an appearance in the Texas 5A-DI state playoffs.
Not only is Butler-Tanner the Pokes’ second commitment of the day, he is also their second tight end in the 2025 cycle, joining Jordan Vyborny out of Utah. Tell your friends, tight ends at Oklahoma State are back. Butler-Tanner is OSU’s 11th commitment in the cycle, as OSU’s class ranks 31st nationally and fifth in the Big 12, according to 247Sports. It’s only June, but the Cowboys’ offensive class already has some depth to it, as nine of the 11 commits play on that side of the ball.
