OSU Baseball: Cowboys to Play in 2025 Astros Foundation College Classic

Josh Holliday is willingly taking his team into the gauntlet.

The Houston Astros on Monday announced what teams will play in their 25th Annual Astros Foundation College Classic in 2025. The lineup featured Oklahoma State along with some national power houses. The Cowboys will join Tennessee, Texas A&M, Arizona, Mississippi State and Rice in the nine-game tournament on Feb. 28-March 2 in Minute Maid Park.

Of the loaded event, the Cowboys get the toughest challenges right off the bat. OSU will start with defending national champion Tennessee in Game 2 of Day 1. OSU will then finish Day 2 against defending national runner-up Texas A&M. The Cowboy will conclude the tournament Day 3 against Mississippi State.

Friday, Feb. 28
11:05 a.m.- Rice vs. Mississippi State
3:05 p.m.- Oklahoma State vs. Tennessee
7:05 p.m.- Arizona vs. Texas A&M

Saturday, March 1
11:05 a.m.- Tennessee vs. Rice
3:05 p.m.- Arizona vs. Mississippi State
7:05 p.m.- Oklahoma State vs. Texas A&M

Sunday, March 2
11:05 a.m.- Tennessee vs. Arizona
3:05 p.m.- Mississippi State vs. Oklahoma State
7:05 p.m.- Texas A&M vs. Rice

OSU was 42-19 in 2024 and became the only program to host an NCAA Regional the last three seasons. However, for the third season in a row, a different team won the Stillwater Regional, with Florida making a run to the College World Series this year. Every team OSU will play in Houston also made the NCAA Tournament this past season, with two of the three making the College World Series championship series. Mississippi State went 2-2 at the Charlottesville Regional.
