OSU Football: Pair of Cowboys Rated as Top 100 Players in College Football 25
See where Ollie Gordon and Nick Martin rank.
The 2024 Oklahoma State football team has two of the top-100 players in college football, at least according to EA Sports and its ratings system.
EA Sports on Wednesday released its top 100 players and their base ratings for the highly anticipated College Football 25 video game, which releases July 19. The list included OSU running back Ollie Gordon at No. 3 with a 96 overall rating and linebacker Nick Martin at No. 80 with a 90 overall rating.
Here’s a breakdown of their ratings:
Ollie Gordon
Overall: 96
Speed: 90
Acceleration: 97
Strength: 79
Awareness: 97
Jumping: 87
Nick Martin
Overall: 90
Speed: 82
Acceleration: 87
Strength: 82
Awareness: 93
Jumping: 79
Gordon’s 96 overall rating puts him at No. 3 behind Michigan cornerback Will Johnson and LSU left tackle Will Campbell, who both also have 96 overall ratings. No one in the game will have a 99 overall rating, which is the best possible. Gordon’s rating, though, would make him the highest-rated offensive skill player, running back and player not named Will in the country.
Fittingly, the Big 12 Preseason Offensive Player of the Year is also the highest-rated player in the conference. The next Big 12 player on the list is Colorado wide receiver/defensive back Travis Hunter at No. 6 with a 95 overall rating. The Big 12, though, does include four of the 14 running backs in the top 100. Others include Texas Tech’s Tahj Brooks (No. 36/92 OVR), Kansas’ Devin Neal (No. 42/92 OVR) and UCF’s RJ Harvey (No. 68/91 OVR).
Martin, meanwhile, is the fourth-highest rated middle linebacker in the game. He’s the only top-100 middle linebacker from the Big 12. Martin is also the fourth-best defensive player from the Big 12.
