Where Former Oklahoma State Players Are Heading into NFL Training Camp
Twenty-two former Cowboys will start training camp with an NFL team.
Oklahoma State doesn’t start fall camp until next week, but some former Cowboys are already preparing for football in 2024.
Twenty-two former OSU players are competing for NFL roster spots as fall camp begins throughout the NFL. Here’s a look at all those Cowboys and a little about their situation.
Justice Hill, Running Back, Baltimore Ravens
Hill is entering his fifth NFL season, all of which have been in Baltimore. Last season, he had 84 carries for 387 yards and three touchdowns — all career-highs. The Ravens added Derrick Henry this offseason, though, so despite the uptick in production last year, Hill will still be No. 2 behind a workhorse.
Tylan Wallace, Wide Receiver, Baltimore Ravens
Entering his fourth season, Wallace created the most fireworks last season as a return man. He caught just an 11-yard pass, but he did have a walk-off punt return touchdown in overtime.

Heading into training camp, Wallace is currently listed as the backup punt returner, while Hill is the No. 2 kick returner. Wallace is also behind Rashod Bateman at receiver.
Chuba Hubbard, Running Back, Carolina Panthers
This could finally be Hubbard’s year. He starts training camp as the Panthers’ No. 1 running back. Last season, he ran for a career-high 902 yards and five scores. A full season as the guy in 2024, and Hubbard could very well eclipse the century mark this season.
Teven Jenkins, Offensive Lineman, Chicago Bears
Jenkins has already become a staple on the Bears’ offensive line after three seasons. He started last season on the injured reserve list so started in only five games at guard. He’s projected to start the season as the Bears’ starter at left guard.
Amen Ogbongbemiga, Linebacker, Chicago Bears
Going undrafted out of OSU, Ogbongbemiga still became an everyday guy for the Chargers the past three seasons. This offseason, he signed with the Bears, where he’ll have to compete for a roster spot currently as the No. 3 at strong side linebacker.
Elijah Collins, Running Back, Cincinnati Bengals
Despite serving as Ollie Gordon’s backup his only season in Stillwater, Collins was still picked up by the Bengals as an undrafted free agent. However, Collins has a long ways to go to get any carries in a regular-season game with four guys listed in front of him on the depth chart at the start of camp.
Devin Harper, Linebacker, Cincinnati Bengals
After starting his career in Dallas, this will be Harper’s second season in Cincinnati. He should see the field throughout his third NFL season as the Bengals’ backup middle linebacker. Last season, he had a pair of tackles in six games.
Tyron Billy-Johnson, Wide Receiver, Dallas Cowboys
Dallas is Billy-Johnson’s 11th landing spot in only four seasons. He hasn’t caught a pass in a regular-season game since the 2022-23 season with the Texans, whom he’s played with on three different occasions. For the Cowboys, he will again have to battle for a roster spot.
Malcolm Rodriguez, Linebacker, Detroit Lions
A sixth-round pick in 2022, Rodrigo has emerged as the most popular name on this list after a breakout rookie campaign two seasons ago. Last season, Rodriguez played in every game, recording 14 tackles and a forced fumble in the regular season. His best game, though, came in the postseason when he had six tackles and an interception in a loss to the 49ers in the NFC Championship Game. He will enter training camp as the Lions’ backup middle linebacker.

Josh Sills, Offensive Lineman, Indianapolis Colts
Sills joined the Colts before the start of last season after spending a season in Philadelphia, where he was eventually waived. He’ll start camp as the Colts’ backup at left guard.
Tre Flowers, Defensive Back, Jacksonville Jaguars
Flowers has become a veteran after six NFL seasons. This will be his first in Jacksonville, though, where he’ll have to fight for a roster spot at corner back despite a productive career so far.
Tyler Lacy, Defensive Line, Jacksonville Jaguars
Lacy will battle for a roster spot at defensive end during the preseason. Last season for the Jaguars he played in 15 games as a rookie, recording 12 tackles.
Leon Johnson III, Wide Receiver, Los Angeles Chargers
Johnson went from Division-III to OSU to now having a chance to play receiver in the NFL. Johnson signed with the Chargers as an undrafted free agent after coming out of nowhere for the Pokes last season. He will likely start his career as a practice squad guy, but he was also supposed to redshirt his only year in Stillwater before stepping up as a big-time contributor.
Tanner Brown, Kicker, Los Angeles Rams
Brown will start his NFL career in L.A., where he’s projected to back up Joshua Karty to begin the season.
Anthony Goodlow, Defensive Lineman, Los Angeles Rams
Goodlow spent one season at OSU after transferring from Tulsa. After one round in Stillwater, he signed with the Rams as an undrafted free agent. He’ll now fight for a roster spot as a defensive end.
Jason Taylor II, Defensive Back, Los Angeles Rams
Drafted by the Rams in the seventh round in 2023, Taylor saw action in nine games as a rookie. He enters his second NFL season as the Rams’ No. 2 at strong safety.
Emmanuel Ogbah, Linebacker, Miami Dolphins
Ogbah just signed with the Dolphins earlier this week for his second stint in Miami [kind of]. He was with the Dolphins the last four seasons but was released in February before signing with Miami again. Despite being a late addition, Ogbah is projected to a backup at weak side linebacker.
A.J. Green II, Defensive Back, Minnesota Vikings
Green signed with the Vikings in January after spending all of last season on the Browns’ practice squad. He’ll still have to compete for a roster spot in Minnesota.
Jaylen Warren, Running Back, Pittsburgh Steelers
Feed Jaylen Warren. Two seasons in the NFL, and both seasons Warren has looked oh, so close to dethroning Najee Harris as the Steelers’ top back. Warren rushed for 784 yards and four touchdowns last season. He averaged 5.3 yards a carry, compared to Harris’ 4.1. Warren will again start the season behind Harris, but even if he doesn’t emerge as the top back, Warren will still get a lot of action in a run-heavy offense.
Tay Martin, Wide Receiver, San Fransisco 49ers
Martin didn’t see any regular-season action last year as a rookie. This season, he will again have to battle to see any playing time.
Mason Rudolph, Quarterback, Tennessee Titans
For the first time in his NFL career, Rudolph isn’t a Steeler after six seasons in Pittsburgh. He signed with the Titans this offseason as a free agent. Despite going to a new franchise, though, Rudolph will still find himself in a race for the QB1 spot with Will Levis and Malik Willis.
Christian Holmes, Defensive Back, Washington Commanders
Holmes has seen plenty of action in two seasons with the Commanders. He will likely continue to get playing time in his third season as Washington’s backup at the right corner spot.
