Songo Adoki – #42

The very beginning (alphabetically), a very good place to start.

For starters, this is how you pronounce his name: song-GO ay-DOH-key. He’s a 6’5″ forward who was not very highly recruited out of high school. In fact, the only schools who recruited him out of Putnam City High were Mid-American Christian University, which barely sounds like an accredited university and Southwestern, which could be 1 of 29 different schools named “Southwestern” in this area of the country.

Why you should like him: If you’re a hipster or think it’s cool to be a fan of obscure products nobody has heard of or uses then here’s your chance re: Oklahoma State basketball.

Why you shouldn’t like him: He’ll probably get less playing time than my old roommate who walked on his senior year and played 33 seconds.

My favorite thing about him: When you search “Songo Adoki” on okstate.com, nothing comes up. That’s when you know it might be time to focus on that psychology degree and…just…move on. Of course, he’ll probably throw up a 25-18 on NC State in the 1st round next year and you’ll be thinking about how big of an idiot I am.
