The Cowboys will be without an All-American edge rusher and a starting tackle in their trip to Tulsa.

Jake Springfield and Collin Oliver will miss Oklahoma State’s game against Tulsa, according to Dave Hunziker. Oliver’s absence was expected, as coach Mike Gundy said after the Cowboys’ win against Arkansas that Oliver could be out for the year. But Springfield’s absence comes as a bit of a surprise.

Noah McKinney is listed behind Springfield on OSU’s depth chart, but it feels more likely that either Isaia Glass or Dalton Cooper would flip over from left tackle. Those two have been sharing reps through OSU’s first two games. Springfield is a longtime veteran on OSU’s line. He has started 42 games to this point in his career.

A 6-foot-5, 320-pound redshirt sophomore, McKinney transferred from UNLV ahead of last season. He played in all 14 of OSU’s games in 2023, primarily on placekicks. A 6-4, 305-pound redshirt junior, Glass transferred to OSU from Arizona State this past season. He drew a start at left tackle in OSU’s win against Arkansas but still split time with Cooper, a 6-7, 315-pound redshirt senior who transferred to OSU from Texas State ahead of last season.

As for Oliver’s replacement, expect a heavy dose of Gannon transfer Obi Ezeigbo. Ezeigbo made nine tackles in the Cowboys’ game against the Razorbacks, including 3.5 tackles for loss and a pair of sacks.

Oklahoma State at Tulsa kick at 11 a.m. in T-Town. The game will be televised on ESPN2.
