Top 20 2025 Recruit Sergio Vega Flips from Cornell to Oklahoma State
That’s a dozen 2025 commits for the Pokes.
David Taylor flipped another one.
Sergio Vega announced via Instagram on Saturday that he committed to Oklahoma State. He was previously committed to Cornell, becoming the fourth recruit Taylor has flipped from the 2025 class. Kody Routledge went from Nebraska to OSU, while Austin Johnson switched Bedlam sides after originally committing to Oklahoma before flipping to the Cowboys, and Landon Robideau swapped his Minnesota pledge to OSU.

Vega is ranked as the No. 12 prospect from the 2025 class on FloWrestling’s Big Board. He’s the seventh top-100 prospect OSU has nabbed from the class as the Cowboys begin a new era under Taylor.
From Sunnyside High School in Arizona, Vega is a three-time state champion and most recently won the 138-pound title at the Super 32 Challenge last week. In that finals, he handled Penn State commit Dalton Perry with an 18-5 major decision. Vega, still a senior in high school, also finished third at the U20 United States World Team Trials in June.
Vega’s commitment puts OSU’s 2025 class at a dozen pledges with signing day right around the corner.
