Gundy Hits the Recruiting Trail, Visiting Oklahoma High Schools
Gundy has spent the past few days seeing some of the state’s best prospects.
Oklahoma State’s head ball coach has been hitting the recruiting trail this week, making a handful of stops at Oklahoma high schools.
Mike Gundy was in the Tulsa area Monday, with coaches from Bixby, Jenks, Booker T. Washington and Rejoice Christian all sharing photos of Gundy with 2026 prospects. Then on Tuesday, Gundy hit up some OKC area schools. Here is a quick look at some of the guys Gundy has seen over the past few days.

It was a busy Monday at Bixby High School, with the Spartan football account tweeting out pictures of Gundy, Brent Venables (OU), Sam Pittman (Arkansas) and Chris Klieman (Kansas State) all coming to town.
Gundy posed with Braeden Presley and Trey McGothlin.
Presley is the younger brother of Brennan and Braylin Presley. He announced an OSU offer in September and has also announced offers to Oklahoma, Kansas State, Kansas, Arkansas, Texas Tech, Purdue and others. The youngest Presley has some size that his brothers lacked and is listed at 6-foot-2, 190 pounds. He projects to be a defensive back at the college level but plays both ways for the Spartans. He had 245 rush yards, two rushing touchdowns, 356 receiving yards and four receiving scores for Bixby as a junior while making 39 tackles, intercepting four passes and breaking up 12 passes.
A 6-foot-3, 195-pound linebacker, McGothlin announced an OSU offer earlier this month when recruiting coordinator Todd Bradford went out to see him. He’s also announced offers to Arizona State, Kansas State, Kansas, Texas Tech, Iowa State and others. He was credited with 72 tackles as a junior, including eight tackles for loss and a pair of sacks. He also picked off three passes.
Jenks

Gundy posed with a trio of prospects at Jenks in front of the Trojans haul of gold balls.
A four-star running back prospect, Kaydin Jones recently trimmed his list down to five: Oklahoma, Tennessee, Louisville, Vanderbilt and Kansas. He’s the No. 248 player in all of the 2026 class, according to the 247Sports Composite ranking.
Malakai Dillard is an athlete who plays defensive back and wide receiver for Jenks. He hasn’t yet announced an OSU offer, but his recruitment seems primed to take off soon, already having offers to Miami, Utah and North Texas.
Ryley Kester is a 6-3, 290-pound offensive lineman, who is rated as a three-star prospect from On3 and 247Sports. Kester has announced offers to Texas Tech, Purdue, Houston, Tulsa, Georgia Tech and others.

Two-way Hornet Keynan Farley got a picture with Gundy at Booker T. Washington. Farley plays receiver and corner for Booker T. and has been on OSU’s campus a few times for camps over the years. He’s listed at 6-foot-2, 190 pounds. He’s announced an offer to Tulsa.
Rejoice Christian

Xavier Okwufulueze announced an OSU offer earlier this month, and he got a picture with Gundy on Monday.
Listed at 6-5, 195 pounds, Okwufulueze plays wide receiver and defensive back at Lincoln Christian (and also plays basketball). Along with his OSU offer, he’s also announced an offer to Boston College.

In Putnam City, Gundy met with Dejon Ackerson, a linebacker who picked up an OSU offer earlier this month — not long after OSU prospect analyst Cameron O’Neal went out to see him. OSU was his first Division-I offer, but he has since also announced offers to Boston College, Nevada, Oklahoma, Kansas State and Tulsa.
According to MaxPreps, Ackerson made 71 tackles as a junior, including 14 tackles for loss and eight sacks. He also forced three fumbles and recovered one.
Del City

While in Del City, Gundy met with linebacker Ricklan Holmes. Holmes picked up an OSU offer back in May. He also has offers to Iowa State, Baylor, Arizona State, North Texas and others.
Playing both ways, Holmes had 587 rushing yards and five touchdowns during his junior season while making 91 tackles, nine tackles for loss and three sacks.
