Photos: Cowboys Close Out UT-Arlington Series with 10-4 Win

The Cowboys hung 29 on UT-Arlington in a two-game series.

Oklahoma State beat the Mavericks 10-4 on Monday afternoon, doing so after beating UTA 19-4 on Sunday.

The Cowboys were actually down 3-0 after the first inning but went on to score the game’s next eight runs. Freshman Brock Thompson got the Cowboys on the board with a solo shot in the second before Nolan Schubart and Aidan Meola provided RBIs in the third to give OSU a 4-3 lead.

The fifth was a big one for the Pokes. Colin Brueggemann had an RBI single before he, Meola and Ian Daugherty all scored off bases-loaded walks. The Cowboys added a run each in the sixth and seventh innings.

Schubart and Garrett Shull each had three hits. Meola had two. The pitching trio of Hunter Watkins, Noah Wech and Sean Youngerman gave up four runs (three earned) on 11 hits while walking two and striking out 11.
